The only State designated Trauma Center (Level IV) in Chambers County, the Emergency Room at Bayside is staffed by highly experienced and skilled professionals. That means you can rest comfortably knowing that anytime there’s an emergency affecting you or a loved one, Bayside is prepared. We stand ready 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with staff who hold ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and a variety of other certifications and designations to attend to whatever your need may be. Once at Bayside we will work to quickly diagnose the problem and provide treatment. In those instances when time is of the essence, and receiving immediate care and treatment is critical, Bayside can provide a variety of measures to stabilize, and, if necessary, arrange transportation to a higher level of care facility to insure the best possible outcome. As with most hospital based Emergency Rooms across Texas and America, Bayside staff medically screen all who present to determine the nature and severity of the condition. In those cases where it is determined the condition is non-urgent, there is a good chance we might refer you to one of our local clinics for care. This supports providing the most effective care possible at the lowest possible cost to all involved (including the taxpayer), while working to establish a “Medical Home” for future health care needs.
